Cheryl's background
Cheryl Eager is a district librarian who purchases books for the entire school district. She orders books for every child to feel they have a character/or story they can identify with and feel significant. Cheryl says she works hard every day to "form relationships and match the perfect book with the students, no matter what they are going through."
A former English teacher and current high school librarian, Cheryl Eager lives with her family outside of the Dallas/Fort Worth area. A Texas native, she graduated from Hardin-Simmons University in West Texas and earned her master’s degree in library science from Texas Woman’s University, both summa cum laude. Her publishing history includes having an op-ed column in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.

A Kiss to Wake Me is a modern-day love story between Jamie and Cara. When the two first lock eyes in the high school cafeteria, “love at first sight” is no longer just a cliché to either of them. Their romance takes off at record speed but just as quickly crashes into a wall of disbelief when a figurative bomb is dropped into their lives, upending the world as they knew it: Cara is pregnant, even though she believed she was a virgin.
